We are seeking a Head Chef and/or Senior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.

Just a bit of background: Our current Head Chef is relocating in June 2023 to be with family further afield
so a position has become available in our team. Ideally we are seeking a creative, passionate Head Chef
looking to relocate for lifestyle reasons to be part of our small team here at the Abbey.

You will have a chance to be part of a family run business where you will work closely with the owners to
continue working to the 2AA rosette level that it currently holds with the idea to progress to 3 Rosettes and more!.
It’s a small operation under 30 covers per service. The new structure will be one that offers guests an opportunity
to have a fixed price offering of 6 courses either seasonal courses or a selection of small but equally delicious plates.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a new and exciting challenge
who can really put their stamp on the place alongside the existing kitchen team of skilled creative chefs.
You would be working closely alongside their wonderful Restaurant Manager and
have a collaborative relationship with the friendly owners.

We are looking for a strong creative individual that understands food and the seasons, is brimming with ideas
for regular menu changes, is passionate about the quality of produce-especially local, along with believing in sustainability in the kitchen.
Someone who is organised with great communication skills, who can manage and inspire a small team, who is super passionate,
friendly and down to earth. The ideal candidate will have a calm and nurturing manner to fit in with the dynamics of the team.

Must have previous 2 Rosette experience to apply for this role.
